Australian. In America.
Sister. Friend. Daughter. Wife. Mother.
Writer. Teacher. Pastor.
Artist. Traveller. Coffee-lover.
GF. DF. SF. Foodie.

With a business communications degree in hand, I went to Bible College in search of deeper view of life through my Faith.  Strategic Communications and Team Mentoring are my cake.  Creativity and Design are my frosting.  At 24, I left my Australian-homeland and immigrated to the USA.

For nine years I served on church pastoral staff.  I love God’s Word.  I love communicating His Ways.  And I love seeing people step into their calling in the Body of Christ and use their gifts and passions for God’s plans.  I’m currently part of our church’s teaching team and worship team.  Our church community is my family.

We’ve been married for 13 years and have two wonderful children.  My husband is a man of grace, love and valiance.  He is known for being a man who makes things better.  He has made me better than I ever was.

My life journey has been marked with long wilderness seasons.  Things have been stripped away and I have had to choose: rely on myself or lean on God.  Each day I have to choose afresh to be this woman:  “Who is this coming up from the wilderness leaning on her beloved?”  Songs 8:5a.  Who is this woman?  Me!  Leaning on Him.  Selah.

First time here?  Maybe these will help you know me:

  1. As a new mom to a 2 and a half month old I am encouraged by your story. Just last week my husband and I decided I would be a SAHM, leaving my job as a P.E. teacher behind for now. We were very careful to make sure our decision was only made by the 2 of us and Holy Spirit, because too many people (even the well-intentioned) doubt that God is able. We live in the very expensive Bay Area, CA, but we know our riches are not man-made! God is able to do exceedingly and abundantly…and we are standing firm on His Word!!

  2. Oh, I love this! Very encouraging. It’s hard sometimes, but always know that God is there directing your steps… always a couple of steps ahead of you. 🙂 Isaiah 41:10 and Proverbs 16:9 are ones that come to mind. Keep seeking Him and He will comfort and provide for you!
